Are all these 1 Star people going to the same place I did? This is some of the best Chinese I've ever had. The chow mein is fantastic. It has a gravy on it that is so flavorful. It's the first time I've ever passed on immediately reaching for the soy sauce when eating chow mein, because it's that good. The entrees are delightful as well, and reasonably priced. Our favorite is the Mongolian beef, paired with the pan fried noodles. They also have really good potstickers.
Service has always been top notch. We have a 13 month old right now and they are so sweet with him. They offer some white rice in a bowl, they are understanding of the messes he makes (maybe because the see us frantically trying to clean up) and it has consistently been a really pleasant experience all three times we've been so far.
I always thought we would have to continue driving to Fresno for Chinese (Hunan is our go-to spot) but Liu's is really making it much easier to dine in Madera. -

Tonight was our first visit to Liu's Village and we will definitely be going back again. The restaurant was clean and the service was as good as we could ask for. We arrived at 5:45 on a Friday and by the time we left an hour later, the place was packed. Our food was served in a timely manner and was excellent in our opinion. My wife had the Lemon Chicken dish with fried rice (and a diet Pepsi). She said it was the best tasting Lemon Chicken she has ever had. I had the Teriachi Beef with fried rice and it was very good. Our total bill came in at $25.00 plus tip. We were very pleased...

I've had much much better food. We got there after a "group" had left on March 31. So our waitress said, she was tired and less than inspiring. They do not offer all white meat in their chicken dishes. Her quote was it is machine cut chicken! ??!
Greasy awful food. I wouldn't go back. Even my husband who is not picky didn't finish his order.
Nope nada, not a do over.
*** note to add insult to injury his fortune cookie was empty. -

The service is great, the place is clean, and the food is amazing! I got the spicy general chicken with pan-fried noodles. It came out timely. The check was perfectly fried and crispy, but not too greasy. The chicken had plenty of sauce; the sauce was delicious. It wasn't overly spicy and was a perfect combination of sweet and spicy. The noodles were perfectly fried. I seriously can't wait to go back and try more plates.
My friend got the cashew nut chicken and really liked her as well. I was only able to snatch a single cashew. -

The service was incredibly rude and the food lacked flavor. I did enjoy the egg rolls, but the chow menu was soggy and had a weird texture. The server gave me my check 5 minutes after I started eating even though they weren't busy and kept asking for if I were ready to pay even though I was clearly eating.
